Creation of Youtube Channel

It has been a long time since I wrote something on this blog. I have to make an announcement :) I have created a Youtube Channel called Colours ClS (ClS as cls which is short form for colours and also Come Listen to Someone). After much thinking and imagining what my life would be in the future, I decided to return back to my roots. Singing, Dancing, Painting and Drawing which is 4 cores that stay rooted in my heart since young.

This channel serves to be a medium of common language which is music regardless of different genres such as Kpop and English etc. and modes of delivery such as singing, dancing, acting, videography or drawings/paintings. It doesn't matter if there's a lot of us but with a strong will to inspire people to help themselves and discover their own strengths and weakness, I believe that this channel will light the spark within people's hearts.

Even though I painted a beautiful picture of the youtube channel above, I had to say that this channel did not work out as I planned it to be. I originally wanted to form a team with my friends and post various videos of different content but we did not have the time to meet up often and practise. That is why I decided to use my own youtube channel as a platform instead. Since I am the one who is determined to upload videos, it will be better to put myself out there with my own profile.

I hope you all look onto my channel favourably and enjoy watching my videos of singing and dancing. I may post some sign language/song signing videos with singing/dancing.

Singapore Polytechnic Sign Language Club (SPSLC) Family

Singapore Polytechnic have so many CCAs available for the freshies to sign up for such as vocal talents, SDZ, CSCC, Library club etc. At first, I was interested in joining Vocal Talents as singing is my favorite hobby and I was a choir girl in secondary school :)

I went straight to their booth and signed up for the auditions. Since I was afraid, I asked my friend to audition with me and we both went for it. Singing in front of the 3 'judges' was terrifying as I was being judged for my singing ability. I didn't sang well so I got eliminated in the end. With no CCA in mind, I went to search for any interesting CCAs online. After being rejected for my singing ability, I searched for clubs instead since I am not a sporty person.

Library club and Sign language club stood out to me. However, SPSLC was my choice. My mother convinced me into signing up for it as sign language is great skill to learn! I'm glad that I didn't make the wrong choice. SPSLC is the type of club that I wanted to belong to. The beautiful language, the warm hearted people, acts of community service and involvement with the deaf makes my life in polytechnic worthwhile.

Being in this CCA really sculpted me into someone that I never imagine myself as. In the past, I was just a quiet girl and I liked staying at home with just a few close friends. Right now, I became more confident, a servant leader and more outspoken. I gained many close friends which is now an important aspect of my life.

Committing myself to SPSLC and contributing to this club as the main committee is the best decision I've made. Being an instructor teaching sign language to my juniors is also a great experience. Song signing performances are the most tedious and yet beautiful art where signs, emotions, synchro, choreography and bonding takes place. Strong bonds, strong ties. All the tears and blood that we shared while training ourselves under our mentors to become the future leaders of SPSLC is worth it. Even though we just stepped up, we hope to carry this club and light the passion in our next batch of future leaders!

I'm currently a year 2 student enrolled in Singapore Polytechnic and I'm taking a course in Diploma in Food Science and Technology :)

Taking the polytechnic route was the greatest choice that I made in my life. The all rounded experience and making friends from different walks of life was the highlight of my whole poly life. Even though my O level grades were good enough to enter a good JC, I went for a diploma instead as I hated mugging especially for General Paper.

When I was year 1, I was lost like a sheep. I felt alone as none of my close friends from secondary school came to SP especially my best friend. Facing with a presentation as soon as I came in, I felt super stressed and I felt like turning the clock back to my secondary school days.

Not wanting to feel the same way again, I plucked my courage to initiate conversations and make friends with my classmates. Right now, we 'same height same size' is 5 girls clique :D battling the hectic poly projects, assignments, exams and presentations together!

Taiwan Trip Day 4 (16/10/14)

After spending 2 days in the countryside, it is time to move into the city. With a heavy heart, we took a public bus to the train station in order to go to Taipei! Even though I miss the countryside's fresh air and scenery, I'm excited for the shopping and the night streets! 

Awoken by the sunrise, I walked to the balcony and captured a view of the bright sun. Unable to return to sleep, I waited at the couch silently until my family are all ready to get up from their beds.

Goodbye Sunnydale! 

A posh hotel in the middle of a building. It is kind of weird as this hotel is not a building itself but it is shared with other companies. This hotel only occupied a storey of the whole building!

After we roamed the streets of Shuang Lian, we took the train to DanShui! A must-go for tourists as an amazing sunset could be captured on the clear waters of the port. If Day 2 had the most beautiful sunset at the mountains, Day 4 had the most beautiful sunset at the port!

Lover's bridge <3 Sad. The lover's bridge is under renovation so we can't cross the bridge.

With our empty stomachs, we decided to return back to DanShui to roam the night streets and search for delicious food!

Taiwan Trip Day 3 (15/10/14)

Day 3 was a fun but totally tiring day! :P Its such a pity that we need to leave "Top Cloud" and move into another accommodation.. Anyways, we got up early in the morning and had simple breakfast before leaving. As usual, the view outside the window was spectacular! A cab was booked for the day and we set off higher or lower into the mountains (I forgot oops).

The cab driver took us to Taroko National Park to catch a breathtaking view of the "sea of clouds" within the mountain top! This calls for Instagram-worthy photos :P After taking many photos, we headed off to the bottom of Mt. Shihmen~ Judging from the bottom of the huge mountain, this is going to be super tiring. My legs please don't fail me!! The cab driver advised us to take one step at a time and climb at your own pace in order to regulate our breathing. We took his advice and climbed the mountain. Lucky the weather was sunny but cool at the same time! If it was sweltering hot at that time, I'll probably evaporate amidst the climbing. The climb was tough but satisfying :) 3237m high mountain completed! The climb was so high that I went high and started dancing. Obviously, I danced when no one was watching haha.

The accommodation that we moved into was surprisingly "home-like". The lobby was filled with plushies and manga. It gave a sense of home unlike regular hotels. I liked the part where they had a balcony in both our room and the lobby. Balconies just give off a relaxing vibe, doesn't it?

A small "village" with small stores selling handicraft goods like origami, bookmarks, notebooks and photo frames etc. 

Each store at the village had a place where all the chops are situated at. It was really fun when I went around each store collecting stamps on a piece of paper. I tried to persuade my mom to buy me a book from the store to chop all the stamps on but to no avail.. 

This store that sold ice cream gave me a somewhat 'mission' paper where you collect certain stamps from different areas of the village. When I finished it, I got an origami fan!

 The place that we went for lunch was extraordinary. Everything, I mean like everything was made up of cardboard! The tables, chairs, decorations and even the trays to hold the food and boxes to hold the drink! Even though the cardboard chair were quite uncomfortable but its bearable :P Food is cheap and amazingly delicious! The lunch set was coupled with a drink and side dishes such as pudding and bamboo shoots. The honey drink was just that good. Thumbs up for it because this restaurant as its famous for its honey and cardboard decorations!

Next highlight of the day: Swiss Garden! Yeap photo-taking time~

Another sunset that we caught while going back to the previous accommodation! However, this was not as nice as the first one ><

We went back to Swiss Garden again for the night light water show. There played piano music while beautiful lights shine against the water~
